I so enjoy exploring nature with my daughter and nephews. We took a relaxing walk through the children's garden at the New York Greenway, making a few stops along the way. (click on any photo to enlarge)
We just sat in silence...and listened to the sound of water...
My daughter thought this tree stump looked like the replica of a city. Can you see it?
Suspended at least 20 feet from a tree by a silk thread, almost invisible to the eye, was this resilient creature. The children had an ongoing debate as to whether it is an inch worm or a caterpillar. We watched it dance as the wind blew. It's amazing how it kept hanging on by that slither of a thread totally disregarding the strength of the wind...a lesson in life to never give up!
Most people certainly walked right on by this snail. Slow and steady wins the race.
And what's a garden walk without the gratuitous flower shot? The menagerie of scents was oh so inspiring.
*Inspirational Monday is hosted by vchelle at Operation You.

Beautiful, relaxing shots. It seems you are enjoying the new camera.
Those are beautiful shots and that snail is the coolest!
Do you know what the flower is? My mom had a shrub with flowers that looked like that and I have always wondered what it was, but I haven't been able to find it.
Oh these photos are so serene.. Love the insect and snail..talking about cool shots!
My favorite quote from you:

Thanks for sharing peace and serenity!
I love walks like that. Yes, I can see the city. Great observation.
Wonderful shots with that new camera of yours. Great observation of the caterpillar and the snails shell is so cool! And I definitely see the city.
What a lovely peaceful place to walk. The first picture is beautiful and it looks so tranquil. I love the caterpillar and snail too. It looks like you did have a wonderful weekend with some very inspiring finds.
a walk with you behind the lens is pure joy selah!
Love it! This week I feel like Mr. Caterpillar and I are leading very similar lives. Clinging with dear life to a tiny silken thread, suspended upside down over tumultuous waves... Except the caterpillar doesn't seem to be screaming, "Holy CRAP GET ME DOWN!!!! What the heck is GOING ON?!!!!!" lol
A few - just a few finds? These are great! I love the dangling work and the snail!!

Yes, I see it! A city, with a small country house first, in front. That's my girl!
