cold ground was my bed last night...

I imagine many people listen to these Bob Marley lyrics everyday. When I go about my everyday life, I see those words come to life, but it's no song. Although unimaginable to some, there are people who will sleep on the streets tonight because they cannot afford a place to live. There are people who, although sick, will be refused necessary medical attention because they cannot afford insurance. There are people who must beg others, with palms stretched forth, because they have no food to eat. Every day.

It pains my heart to think of people alone and sick on the streets. They are someone's child, maybe someone's parent. So sad.

I will never get over that there isn't enough for everyone.
Never.

And the air is becoming crisp
And it's raining again
Already.

Thanks for reminding me of the truth.

It breaks my heart daily that there is so much suffering in the world, that so many have none, when I have so much. We try to help in our small ways and hope it helps, some small comfort. I think we all dream of a world where there is plenty for all, peace for all, love for all. Thank you for always bringing the essential to light here, Se'Lah ((HUGS))

Powerful photo! Photos always give a portion of a story that makes us stop to focus and listen to the entire story! It is our birthright to have shelter, food and clothing and it takes everyone of us to get involved for the good of our communities! Thanks for bringing light to us all! Love you!

I know this happens and I've seen it - so sad! But, tucked up here, I can forget that even though I'm not seeing it, it is still happening. Thanx for the reminder on how fortunate I am.
