Oh, yes. And there are so many ways to volunteer--formally or informally. For me, the point is this: Be of service.
I agree with what Wanda has said... be of service. To give of one's self, one's time to even a small cause can make a big difference. These words of President Obama very much inspires us to rise up to service. :o)
Yes. My volunteer job starts up again in September!
I am so happy to be able to do volunteer work with sunnyboy at the charity shop we work at. The shop is such an important resource for our local community and we have also found a community for ourselves working there. It's a shame that volunteer work is undervalued, so thanks for raising awareness :)
