Inspirational Monday: not without you...
when i first thought of the "gift of jewels" project, i was a little uncertain about sharing it. i am incredibly humbled by your positive response. i am so inspired by those of you who decided to participate and make this pen pal project so exciting.
the project quickly gained international flavour. we have as many as 49 participants from all over the *world*! if you decided to participate, you will be sending a "gift of jewels" from your loving corner of world to a randomly selected recipient on the roll call. although no one else knows where their "gift of jewels" is coming from, you can rest assured that it will be from one of the following countries (ooooh, i wonder where yours will come from?):
Australia
Canada
Denmark
Faroe Islands
France
Maldives
Norway
Scotland
South Africa
Spain
UK
USA and more.
isn't this awesome? i hope you are all as excited as i am. ;) remember, do not spill the beans.
and it's totally up to you whether you want to send your "gift of jewels" anonymously or include your return mailing information. i imagine it would be nice to know who sent it though.
*many thanks for joining me in the "gift of jewels" project: spreading love all over the world.
*one little favour: when you receive your "gift of jewels", please stop by this post and share your thoughts with us. to make it easier, the "gift of jewels" photo button in the sidebar will directly link to this post.
One World. One People. One Love.
*Inspirational Monday is hosted by vchelle over at Operation You.

Can't wait to see where mine comes from. Mine is "across the pond"-- :)
Se'Lah, reading this post brought happy tears to my eyes! This is so exciting!
One question, when we send our card, do we stay anonymous, or should we sign it with who we are?
So glad to be part of this. It's going to be awesome!
hi se'lah
this is the soeurs du jour's mom. just looking at your blog for the very first time. i am very excited to start reading your blog each day. margie and kath are so fond of you.
This is a wonderful venture, and I so grateful you're doing this! Though I have to say, I took a peek at my pen pal's blog and was a bit intimidated... oh, well nothing for it but to put my humble art to the test.

What a fantastic response to the Gift of Jewels project! It's very exciting. Will we be receiving our cards from the same person we send them to, or is that a surprise also?
Se'Lah, you are an inspiration. :)

Lovely Tracey K--YOU MADE MY DAY!!!
So nice and thoughtful that you shared a bit about yourself too!
I felt so special opening a card...these little connections mean so much to my heart.
Thank you!
Thank you so much Sherry (of Everyday Possibilities) for the lovely card. It's propped up on the shelf above my desk so that I can see it often and remind myself that "Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart." thank you for sharing your beauty with me! and thank you Se'Lah for bringing all this love together. xoxo
I'm so glad the card reached you Janet and that you like it. I love that quote and it seemed so perfect for this exchange of jewels. I'm thankful that Se'lah did this so that so many of us could meet when otherwise we might not have had that opportunity!
I received mine! A card with a sun surrounded by flowers and leaves. So beautiful!
It hangs in my kitchen chering me up on this day that has otherwise been gray inside and out.
Thanks a million, Judi from www.judipatootie.blogspot.com
I received my card on Monday! It was beautiful and as always, it is really fun to receive snail mail! What a great idea to give people an opportunity to connect! You are a "Jewel" Se'Lah for gifting all of us with your inspiration!

Mine was waiting for me upon return of my trip. It was lovely and full of warm fuzzies from Ms. Gayle! Thank you so much, so sweet!
Mine arrived in my mailbox here in Portland, Oregon all the way from the Maldives today! Wow.
Thank you, Se'lah for this project.
And thank you, Kamana for the beautiful "gift of jewels". May you be blessed as you have blessed me.
i received mine today from Canada. a beautiful handmade card with a sweet message on it saying, "Happy New Beginnings to you and good wishes for all you wish to discover." It's like she knew me.
thank you Kim! the card with the bird and fall colors could not be more appropriate for me.
and thank you Se'lah for organizing this project.
I received mine!!! Lala of My Castle In Spain sent me such a sweet card and a lovely note! Thank you, Lala!
Thank you also, Se'Lah, for such a love filled project!
I received my gift on Saturday morning. Thank you so much Margie - I loved it!!!
I hope mine has been received and my person likes it.
Thanks you for this Se'Lah - it was such an exciting and loving thing to do. xx
I received my gift of jewels today. Leslye sent me the most beautiful card evoking the beauty and thoughts of autumn.
Inside is a verse from Oliver Wendell Holmes that Lesley copied out for me and I find it most beautiful that the card arrived today...when this verse has a very special message for me. At a time when I very much needed to read this.
Thank you so much Leslye!! I treasure this jewel and will keep it in my art studio as a constant reminder! ♥
I can't believe it took me this long to find where to put this! I received my card from sunny Arizona (oh, how I envy her there!), dragonflies all over the card and the envelope - dragonflies are my "thing". I have a dragonfly door knocker, dragonfly this and that. It's amazing how kismet it all is. Thank you Janet, I'm a regular visitor over at your blog now.
Se'Lah, Thank you so much for this project and for making sure that we all got our gifts.
I received my beautiful "gift of jewels" from the lovely Christina of Soul Aperture. What a treat! I love her photography and now have a beautiful card from her that I'm going to frame and hang on my wall. : )
