Inspirational Monday: scrap therapy...

There are times when I feel like I am trapped in a vortex.
I just go with the flow and find a way to come back to centre.
Today, I went digging through my fabric stash.
Always love to listen to the humming of my sewing machine.

I picked a few random pieces and made a quilt.
To donate to a children's fundraising auction.
I was feeling pretty random today. Usually am.
Especially when none of my boy toys win the NASCAR race.

Hope it keeps a lucky little one warm this coming winter.
Couldn't have picked a better day to start.
Just in time for the October snow.
Yes, I said snow...and it's still falling.

So, if life throws you scraps, make a quilt.
Kinda like that lemon, lemonade thingie. ;)
One Love.

It's going to be beautiful! I see the love already! I'm making my quilt to day also, the quilt of peace and strength.

That is so beautiful, Se'Lah! I love your random quilt.

The sound of the sewing machine is such a great sound. It reminds me of my mom. Thank you for the reminder!

"if life throws you scraps, make a quilt"--Oh, I love that, Se'Lah...a great metaphor for life! :o) Your quilt is wonderful--I love the random--and all that punchy turquoise. And best of all that you will be giving it away to keep someone warm and happy--so sweet of you, bless yor heart. I've been in a bubble for a few days now-LOL!---hubby & I have been up to our elbows in some interior painting & wallpapering. Finally back in blogland and catching up. :o) Happy week, my friend ((HUGS))

What a lovely idea and the quilt is beautiful! The child who receives this is going to be so pleased (and warm!). Recently I posted a picture (for a weekly photo challenge that was 'My Dream') of a patchwork quilt I made. I wanted a picture that would symbolise Family and I thought a patchwork quilt would do so in so many ways.
