Conscious Friday: Hope for Haiti...

there are few times in life when mankind is presented with the opportunity to collectively do something really great...make a real difference in the world. my friends, we are living in one of those moments.

it's been 9 sunsets since the island of Haiti was ravaged by the 7.0 magnitude earthquake. aftershocks occur almost on a daily basis, intensifying the urgency of the situation. there are still countless people suffering, displaced, or dying. 9 days later, hungry men, women, and children still roam the streets searching for food and water. the injured still trod on hoping to receive simple medical intervention to save their lives. this is a state of emergency.

we are all of one race, the human race. these are our people, and they are desperately in need of our help. as the sun sets on yet another day, i continue to pray for them. i know many of you are doing the same.

on Friday, January 22, 2008 at 8:00 pm, there will be a global telethon aired on most major networks to help our brothers and sisters in Haiti. whether or not you have previously donated to the cause, I encourage you to tune in and show your love for the people of Haiti. there is still hope for haiti.

also, iTunes customers will be able to pre-order the "Hope for Haiti Now" full performance album ($7.99) and full 2-hour video telecast ($1.99) starting tomorrow. Apple, the record labels and the artists will donate their proceeds to the Haiti Earthquake Relief charities. i hope to see you there. it will be so nice to know, that no matter how far apart we are, we will be joined in spirit for the same cause.

Wishing you a Conscious Friday and a divine weekend.

It is so sad that they are still going through such devastation over there.

Just a few minutes ago I glanced at the time to see how close it was to 8pm. I'll be there!

I continue to give from heart in as many ways that our Creator instructs me to do and I'm so grateful that I can give!!! Coming together is so wonderful, isn't it! No color, no judgment, no separation, just love!
