Conscious Friday: goodbye MJ...

not many things bring me to tears
i was just telling a dear friend
but today, i'm holding back tears
for the king of pop, michael jackson

you led by example
raising your voice to defend
those who couldn't defend themselves

you have taught me so much
about love of humanity
about caring for those less fortunate
and for at least that much, i thank you

i pray for your young children
who innocent though they are
are now left fatherless.

goodbye MJ!

This is a beautiful tribute! Such a tragic loss. The "We are the World" video made my eyes tear...
just thinking of the possibilities of so many diverse people coming together then and now...

I agree it's a beautiful tribute. I hadn't seen the news so found this out here.

I agree, too. This is a wonderful tribute. This news is so hard to wrap my mind around. MJ has been performing my whole life. And, so sad for his children and family.

How sad to lose such a genius musician. I remember what a cute little boy he was, too. Such talent!

Now, he is at peace though those who are still here mourn.

One love.

This has just stunned me. He was SO talented! I was supposed to see him in concert in July and now I'm sad that will never be. He will never be forgotten...he gave us so much. May he rest in peace.

A very lovely tribute, Se'Lah. The entertainment industry lost three icons this week in Michael, Farrah Fawcett and Ed McMahan. May they all rest in peace.
