this is nicholas.
he was born in the wee hours on christmas day.
the owners have kept nicholas alive by feeding him evaporated milk.
he happens to love it.
so far, so good.
meet lily.
lily loves baby donkeys.
she goes to great lengths to show her love.
lily tries to steal every baby donkey born on the farm.
fortunately for nicholas, lily makes the perfect adoptive mother.
the owner gives lily a hug to show his appreciation.
good mamas are sure hard to find.

Have I ever told you that I have a "thing" for donkeys? I do. I really do. they are my absolute FAVORITE animal. EVER! I love them. Some day we are going to have some land out in the country and I'm going to have a donkey of my own. Yup. I am. I'm going to name him Balem. Do you know that story? It was actually our Bible story tonight.
such a heartfelt post.
Love. It's wherever you look...coupled with kindness and compassion. Lovely story. Fills my heart with happiness and gratitude.
I'm so glad Nicholos has Lily! Thanks for sharing this adorable story.
Such a sadly sweet story, Se'Lah. Nicholas is adorable - I'd adopt him, too, if I were a donkey. =)
