getting dressed...

sooooo.....whatcha been up to?

i'm just here, trying on a few gowns
in preparation for the Queen's big day,
the Ethiopian New Year.

think this one is a bit much?

well, how about adding some vintage hair accessories?

this one kinda reminds me of a crown.  (quite fitting i'd say).

Only 5 more days until all *gift of jewels* are mailed (September 11, 2010).  I am just bursting at the seams with excitement, and I hope deeply that you will enjoy your special jewel.

how are you doing?

I don't think it's a bit much. On you it would look gorgeous!! Besides, if you're celebrating the Queen's big day you can never be too well dressed.

I am doing just fine. Love the hair combs (crowns). Haven't heard if my gifts have been received, hope they have. My gift must be on it's way.

DELICIOUSLY beautiful gowns and ornaments... Yes, go all out, where the fluffiest flounces--the Queen will approve. ;o) Such a fun post... Today I am doing some gardening & baking--going slow, and it feels so good! Happy week, my friend! ((LOVE & HUGS))

I prefer what appears to be a simple elegance in the first one, myself, but then I don't have the bones or stature to wear an ornate gown. It would wear me!

Those dresses while beautiful just make me wanna say "Ouch !!!" When I rule the world we will all wear clothes that feel luscious against out skin and that don't hurt our bodies in any way. That would be garb meant for a Queen ! ;)
Love the crowns though...
Settling back into the routine. Sending my Jewel off tomorrow am. Starting a part time job until end of October a few days a week so I have $$ to play. Life is good.

Sending you big excited love, Beautiful One !

Not too much at all. Love it. I especially love the necklace in the first photo.

I am so diggin' the crowns. The dress is indeed stunning; a work of art in its own right. You would indeed look regal in it. But I do beleive Kim has a point. Your comfort is paramount. We, your loyal subjects, will applaud whatever suits you best ; )
